FRANKIE'S 11 YEARS OLD!!

Frank on the trail

It is hard to believe that Frank is 11 years old. (I don't like to do the "math" to equate to human years.)

Our household has morphed over the last decade...change in every season.

The one constant has been good ole Frankie...always watching over our large, ever changing family. She is truly our family guardian dog and best friend.

Just wanted to upload a picture taken this past fall and take a moment to wish everyone at the GPCSO a very happy Christmas.

Thank you. Was glad I came back.
by: Skippy

Thank you for letting us know about Frankie. So many times stories get started and we never know how they end.

Think I have read all the Frankie stories in the past. It makes my hear light to know that she has reached 11. Your stories of Frankie are a wonderful testimony to her and her life with you.

Lollie was my first Great Pyrenees and when I lost her late in 2014 just short of her 9th birthday, I was devastated. Haunted many sites in my grief and also knowing that I would be losing my husband before long. It kept me sane in long winter and spring that followed.

Then early fall last year I was blessed with rescuing Athena, and I do mean blessed. Thinking no rescue would ever approve of my living conditions to adopt another pyr and knowing that I did not have the energy for a puppy at my age. Athena is not Lollie, but she is a joy. Grateful she is mine.

Came back here looking for you story of Frankie and the bear to send to a friend, and could not find it. Guess I will use the story of the big Mac attack and her farewell story to illustrate the essence of the pyr for my friend.

If you would like to know Lollie's story, you can find it here at her share site on Shutterfly.

Story is long and pictures many.

Thank you again for telling us how Frankie is doing. Would you please keep us up to date as to your and her welfare? It will be hard I know, it took we several months to write Lollies Story. The tears never seem to stop.

Glad to hear Frankie's doing well
by: Bill E.

These years pass much too fast. Glad to hear that Frankie is still doing well. We need a "Frank and the (insert subject here)" story every so often. Here is wishing her many more years as your family guardian.

From Jake - need new page
by: Donna

Jake, you've asked your question under someone else's comment. You need to make a new page.

I suspect it's page wire you have for fencing. This won't contain your dog. You'll need chain link and fence an acre.

Is he a working dog?

How to keep at home
by: Anonymous

I would welcome any suggestions for keeping my Jake at home, I have 5 acres fenced and he digs out daily.

Old friends truly are the best
by: Ed A from NJ

You know I love a puppy as much as the next guy but there is so much to be said about the journey you take and the pride of had taken it. My buttercup is now 14 and we have seen it all together. When I look in her eyes it all comes back to me. The smiles the tears the ups the down and the warmth of old friendship. Enjoy and god bless your wonderful wonderful friend.
