laser Pet safe collar
by: Barb

Patty,

This may help you! I trained Bruno who was 9 months old when rescued-trained him to a Pet Safe electric fence collar, bought at Tractor supply. I followed the instructions to the letter, and he has worn the collar 8 years and only broke through one time, and it shocked him and scared him so that he has respected ever since, and never has tried it since. You may even want to try a correction collar before the fence collar-it may be all you need. Caesar Milan uses them and none of these hurt your dog-its psychological, not harmful. Good luck with your Pyr. Barb, Bruno's Mom

Fencing

We do not recommend electric fencing. We have instances of Pyrs who have gone through it and terrify themselves. They do not want to go outside, again. Or, they don't care if they get zapped and continue to go through it. They are independent thinkers.

I would recommend that you add onto the top of your fence with fencing of some kind from a hardware store. That is what i have done.
