The Day Bear Bear Came Home

Bear and Dixon several hours after meeting for the first time

My husband and I adopted Bear Bear last year. The ride home was interesting because we were in a small car and Bear, I think, decided that he would like to try and drive. While he didn't get up front with us it took all we had to get him to sit still. Mind you we did this for almost an hour until we got home.

When we got home we let our other dog, a lab mix, out on his leash to introduce them to each other for the first time. Bear and Dixon were best friends instantly and are now inseparable. They go everywhere and do everything together, even at the dog park.

People always ask why they are like that, and we always say that it is Bear's way of looking after his "little brother".
