Cold - 6-week old pup outside in room

by Roxanne
(Texas, USA)

Its currently 36°F here outside in texas. I have a 6 week old GD pup. He is sleeping in a little room outside so its technically cold too. I go check up on him every once in a while and check if hes shaking but he looks sleepy and calm and not shaking at all. He also has on a little jacket and is covered with two blankets but since he is nocturnal I will not wake up to him with the blankets. Can a 6 week old GD pup be outside in that little room? Also, how much cold can a GD pup tolerate?

Pup outside

6-weeks old is young to be away from mom.

Why is he alone in a room outside? He should be inside with you in a crate at night. You want a well-adjusted puppy who is used to being with people.

Here is an online crate training program
