Jax
Working Dog
DOB appox: July 2020
Neutered
Location: Beaverton Ontario
Secure fencing of at least 5 feet is required.
Good with kids when you are there?: Yes, great with kids with us there or not there with proper introductions. My grandchildren come visit with no issues.
Fine with strangers coming onto the property when you are there? No, Jax is trained to protect the property and is off lead most of the time.
Great with visitors while on lead or with us there.
He is a great guard dog and gets it. He is typically off lead and we have had no issues other than chasing the odd car but he is getting it. He is very attentive and wants to do well. He is not great with cats. He is great with children once introductions are done. He was raised previously with children. He is great with ruminant animals as well. He thinks they are his babies.
Secure fencing is a must as this breed will wander if they feel they have to ward away a predator.
Reason for rehoming: We are repurposing our hobby farm. Our dogs are warning us if any strangers come on the farm and we have had no issues. Our new business will bring strangers constantly. It’s not fair to the dogs to keep them locked up and not do their jobs that they love to do.
Adoption Contribution: $400
