DOB: late Sept 2023 (don’t know for sure) rescued Dec 2023
Location: Norwood Ontario
Name: Whalen
Single dwelling detached home with a securely fenced yard with real grass of at least 5 feet. He presently lives on an acreage.
Good on leash? He is not leash trained, but something that is easily taught.
Basic education? No real education, but something their new person can work with to create a wonderful connection. Recallers is a fabulous on-line teaching program which also builds a close connection between you and your dog.
Crate-trained? No
He barks, as he should, at new people coming around, but then he calms down. He hasn’t been around children. The Trust Technique will be extremely helpful in teaching your dog to bring his thinking levels down.
Destructive in house? No issues.
Separation anxiety? None. Happy to see you when you come back.
Whalen is a high-ranked male and is a good partner for Willie as they work well together. Very loving dog and has a paw that turns out, but it doesn’t seem to affect his walking etc. Whalen chases our cats in our house, but not aggressive to hurt them.
