These dogs were bred to wander, and as such, must be contained with secure fencing to protect them.
These dogs need regular grooming to keep their coat effective in the elements of heat and cold. Do not shave double-coated dogs.
Beautiful Thor is a lovely boy. He is an Akbash cross. He did live with four children ages 1 year to 15-years-old. He also lived with other dogs and cats. Sadly, his owner ended up homeless so needed to give up her dogs.
He is a happy go lucky dog who is good in the house and outside the house. He is very happy to meet guests coming into the home, but will calm down. He loves attention from everyone.
We recommend the online teaching program Recallers or Home School the Dog, which is a modified version of Recallers, to gain an incredible connection with your dog to set him up for success. The Trust Technique is also an excellent way to gain a wonderful connection with your dog.
