Nellie

*ADOPTED*

Location: Erin, Ontario

We think Nellie is about 2-3 years old.

A single dwelling with a large securely fenced yard of at least 6 feet is required.

The previous owner acquired her off a sell site, and had her for a short period of time when she became ill.

Beautiful Nellie is good on leash, and a very happy girl with lots of energy.

She loves to be with her people. We suspect she will be fine with children. We prefer over 12, but if things go well on the meet and greet, we will consider younger children.

She is good with other dogs as long as there are proper introductions as there should always be. We always recommend, if there is another dog in the home, that it be of the opposite sex so a male for Nellie works just fine.

A pre-requisite will be to sign up for Recallers, or a modified version Home School the Dog program to give you and Nellie the best chance at success. Proof of registration will be required.

If you think you are a good fit for Nellie, please complete an adoption application.

There is a $400 adoption contribution. All proceeds go back to the dogs in our care.

Every dog is different. With proper introductions, she should be fine with cats. It's important to not just let her loose in the house, but we give information in our adoption handbook.

She gets along with the female Pyrs at her foster's. So, again, proper introductions is always important.

It's the resident cat and dog's home so introducing the dogs outside of the house is important. Keeping Nellie on leash inside and your dog separated so Nellie can sniff about the house. Depending on the dogs, it can take no time to two days, sometimes more to be accepting of one another.

That said, if you are interested in her, if you fill out an adoption application, her foster can tell you more about her.

Is Nellie good with cats? Would you consider an adoption where there is a 9 yr female minichure poodle? My female Pyr passed last year and they got along fine.

Thank you
