NOTE: The membership year is September 1 – August 31. Membership applications made after May 15th will carry over to the next membership year.

THE DEADLINE FOR RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP IS AUGUST 31st

Membership shall be terminated if Membership fees are unpaid for thirty-one (31) days following the beginning of the membership year. If any member’s fees are unpaid after thirty-one (31) days following the beginning of the membership year, that Member may apply to be re-instated and upon payment of the required fees and late penalty, that Member shall be re-instated.

This breed barks more than other breeds as they were bred to deter predators including butterflies two miles away. When he barks, what is your response?*

How will you exercise the dog and how often? We do not recommend dog parks in the event dogs get into a fight which will only create a fearful dog.*

Dogs like to please, even Pyrs. If there is a behaviour that is not acceptable to you, it's because he has fear/anxiety or not taught what you would like instead. Be kind and work in partnership with your dog. Be patience, persistence, and peaceful. Does this make sense and do you agree?*

I understand that bringing a new dog home is very stressful for the dog. In order to help him/her adjust, I will not expose him/her to strangers, animals who don't live in your home or new situations for a minimum of 14 days so your new dog learns to trust you. This is very important to set your new dog up for success.*
