a males fertilty

I have a 11.5 year old male GP, how long can he impregnate a female?
If a male dog ejaculates without actual penetration will it decrease his sperm count?
Will a male be pestering a bitch during her whole heat or just till he mates with her?
Will they always lock during mating?

Fertility

You shouldn't be letting a dog of that age mate.

I don't know how old your female is but she should only be bred 2 to 3 times in her lifetime and not after 6 years old.

Are your dogs registered with a recognized kennel club and do they have their points? Do you know their lineage so you understand any health issues that may arise. You don't want to continue lines that may have diseases or physical problems in their backgrounds.

If you are not a registered breeder, I suggest you do not breed your dogs. There are many unwanted dogs out there. People get cute fluffy puppies without doing their research.

When the dogs gets to be 1 year old, they didn't do the work in socialization, training, grooming etc., and they dump or surrender their dog. They didn't realize it would get so big or bark so much or wander away.

why?
by: Anonymous

With out being rude I would wonder why your asking. At 11 one would hope he was neutered he is now at the age where the bad things from being intact can really start affecting him. Like all males he still has lead in his pencial but is not a candidate for breeding and if you never bred before don't try starting you will lose your shirt I promise. There are so many beautiful rescue pyrenese out there and people who are going to by are looking for experienced breeders. I hope you are just seeking general information. What I will tell you is if he is breathing he will always be checking out a bitch in heat. I ask you not to do anything stupid you will regret it and so will any unforgent puppies.
