Sand, Dirt and almost anythimg else
by: Ed A from NJ

Yes both sand and mud once dry will indeed fall of that beautiful and very functional coat.

If yours has a big heavy furry double coat like my boy almost everything falls off. Not only dirt and sand but tennis balls golf balls, small puppies, what ever!

But truly their coat is so amazing. To keep them beautiful it is so simple. A good brushing every other or 3rd day is perfect. Don't over bath them and I never cut them just a shaping trim is enough. With the brushing, a bath every 3 months is fine.

They do not tend to smell at all and for some reason don't seem to get that wet dog smell. I think the key to the whole thing is consistent brush schedule. It is not that hard and if you start them young they enjoy it. Now ear cleaning, that is a whole new can of worms.
