AMAZING

Our journey into Pyr parenthood began when we realised our 2yr old rescue Patches, needed a canine buddy. Patch is unlike any other dog who has shared our life, and loved by all for his sweetness and empathy. So very careful consideration was required for a perfect companion. We heard about a litter of Pyr puppies. We knew that Pyrs were large, white, livestock guardians, but that was about it!

Research was required. Found your wonderful site, and decided after reading everything, to go see the puppies. Fatal decision. Impossible to keep the head on straight with 8 fluff balls around the feet! And, no surprise, adopted a chunky little male with "big boots", and gave him a mighty name he'll grow into without a doubt. Our first Pyr.

Its been a revelation and we no longer wonder that these wonderful dogs have a prefix to their breed name and it's "my AMAZING...." They are amazing creatures. Gabriel is 4 mos old now, and our once lonesome dove has a new best buddy. They eat, sleep, play and go for long rambles together with their dad, thru the fields and woods that is their home.

Sometimes our cat Tobi joins them (he thinks he's a dog in a cat costume) Even at this still young age, we are very aware Gabriel is a unique creature...self-aware, self-directed, and self-confident... loves meet 'n greet mall walks, car rides, visits with all our friends, especially the children. An "amazing Pyr"! We are truly blessed with our 2 "best boys"!!
