Puppy with bump on nose
by: Donna

If your dog is black, she is not a Pryenees. Pyrs are all white, some have 'badger' markings so markings on the ears, and maybe a large spot above the tail on on the sides.

One cannot diagnose anything from a text message, unfortunately.

Take you puppy to the vet for a check up if you haven't already. The vet can better assess what is going on.

And, tell you when she is ready to be spayed which will be at about one year old. You do not want unwanted puppies. The shelters are already full to overflowing with unwanted dogs with thousands being euthanised every year because there are not enough families who want them.

Not so fast on black
by: Ed A from NJ

While I have never had anything but white pyrenees some with a little face and above tail markings in light tan or grey. I have seen old pictures of pyrenees with black markings. Then I came across the site. wwwbar6diamondranch.com. After some research his comments make sence. Give it a read. I don't think of myself as a snob because I happen to like my pyrenees white with minamal markings. I do not want anyone detracting from the, breed or adding to the breed. I want every pyrenees to be recinized as one.
