Body odor smell

Is it normal for this breed to have an odor about them that slightly resembles human body odor or dirty gym socks?

No. It could have to with the diet. If on kibble, it can create all sorts of issues since it is a processed item.

If the dog is on a species-appropriate diet, there shouldn't be an issue. If there is, here is a link for some information to help:
