Buster

*Buster is going back to his original family as things have brightened up in their lives and he'll have a wonderful life on acreage.*

Buster had to come back in as his owner is in hospital.

DOB: 2016 (9-years-old)

Location: Acton, Ontario
He needs a quiet household. He gets along with dogs

Big white fluffy mix.

The rescue recommends a female if there is another canine in the family as not all same sexes see eye-to-eye.

No children. Experienced dog people need to be prepared to work with him. There are things he doesn't like and will let you know. Using the Trust Technique is recommended.

He does have separation anxiety, but this can successfully be worked with using the Trust Technique. Or, a home where his family is home all day would work as well.

His original story:

Buster is a great dog but because of family circumstances, they are moving to a small place in the city. They are devastated to give him up. As a big white, he does bark, and the neighbours are not understanding of this.

Buster is a 9-year-old male in excellent health. He likes walks, and is also content to be on his own within a securely fenced area.

As a big white, he guards his realm, barks and loves to be outside. He is ideally suited to a rural environment where he can be outside for most of the day and be himself. He is content in almost all weather providing he has shelter.

A prerequisite is to register with one of the following programs Recallers, or a modified version Home School the Dog for the best chance at success with Buster.

There is a $400 adoption fee.

If you are interested in Buster, please complete an adoption application.

You sound like you are a great dog mom. It would be great if you were closer!

Bailey is lucky to have you and you her. You both trust each other which is wonderful.

I think you'll find a great fit for you and Bailey through the National Pyr Rescue in the USA.

I just read the adoption application. I have to live close by. Although my heart is broken (I’ve thought about this for 3 days!) I totally understand. I was in rescue back in Georgia. You guys are really thorough with the process. I love that. My heart sends lots of great homes for all your dogies! I’m in love with the breed. Bailey barks and "patrols" all night! She makes me feel safe. I live alone. Even my cats love her!
I can tell she was abused. She was only 58 pounds when I found her!!!!! Now almost 8 months later, she’s a nice 93!!! I love her.
Thanks for reading. 🙂🩵

Buster!
by: Ellen Kriz

Buster would be perfect for my girl Pyr Bailey! I rescued her in bad condition back in June and I’ve finally come to the conclusion that she’ll never be an indoor dog. I have an acre fully fenced for her and I wonder if Arkansas is too far. I think Buster and Bailey can live happily here 🥰🩵
