Remi

* ADOPTED *

From his family:

Remi is AWESOME! We love him, he is settling in just fine.

Location: Acton, Ontario
DOB: February 2024

This sweet white fluffy Remi has a sad story. Remi, while his family was in the midst of moving, escaped and ended up with animal control, but his family couldn’t take him back. He is now looking forward to someone ready to commit to him and make him a part of their family.

He needs a single-family home with a securely-fenced yard of a minimum of 5 feet.

He is a lovely boy who is great with kids.

Remi - Cats
by: Great Pyrenees Club

If you have more questions, please contact us at

GPCSO.contact@gmail.com

LGDs are guardian dogs. They generally don't chase cats. Again, proper introductions and teaching and there won't be a problem.

Chickens are an issue with some LGDs because of how they move. They will kill them if not given proper introductions. We had one dog kill 15 chickens because the adopter didn't do proper introductions. Once she did that, the dog was watching over them like a mother hen. You have to set them up for success.

If you want to bring your cats to the foster's place, that is fine. Otherwise, you'll need to fill out a form so we have the information for you to see if you're a good fit before you take him off the property.

It doesn't mean you have to adopt him. Final adoption only happens once you have paid the adoption contribution and filled out the contract.

Just to be certain
by: Sandra

Would it be possible to test if he exhibit any predation instinct towards cats? We have two mature cats (16 & 17) and a 6 year old boy. We would like to know if we could be the right fit for him before sending an application. If we adopt him, it's for life so we have to be certain that he will be kind to the cats. Thank you!

Remi
by: Great Pyrenees Club

He was in an apartment so house trained and calm in the house. Good with other dogs, but like with any creature, including humans, allow slow introductions. Like people, not all dogs will like each other.

We don't know about cats, but with proper introductions, it shouldn't be a problem. Never just let a new dog loose in the house, and hope this 'intruder' will be accepted by the resident dogs/cats.

He is healthy.

We always want to set them up for success.

If you're still interested, please fill in the adoption application. We will send you information. Recallers is a great program, but Home School the Dog will also be very beneficial to take as well to teach you how to teach Remi.
