Cascade and the Cougar

I have an awesome Great Pyr named Cascade Ranger. We usually call him Ranger. Well, a long time ago I was hiking with my dad and we heard growling in the bushes. I got kind of scared and asked my dad what it was. He told me it was nothing until Ranger started barking and growling at the bushes. He wasn't even 1 year old at the time, but he was being fierce. Suddenly, a cougar burst out of the bushes roaring and growling. He barked at it and kept barking at it until it hissed at him and swiped its paw. I closed my eyes. But Ranger was there before the cougar could do anything. He roared at it and snarled. Then finally it came down to he bit it, and it left.
