Clancy

*ADOPTED*

This beautiful boy was left at a dog park. A caring person brought him home. They loved him but realized he wasn't a good fit for their family.

From his new people:

Thank you for this wonderful dog. He is all a person could want. All he wants to do is play just like a puppy.

Bella almost went to a farm
by: Marie

Awe thank you for adopting and loving your new member to the family. It is sad when I hear stories of a great pyr abandoned there are many reasons why people do what they do. I got my Bella for my boyfriend as a gift he always wanted one well I didn’t know what i was in for once I got her at 2 months old. My boyfriend worked a lot and I stayed home with Bella it started off where she tried to show me who was the boss at times she would puppy bite me she would not listen as pyr do their own thing on their own terms it was so hard for me I would call my boyfriend crying she bites me she doesn’t listen she runs off and it took me an hour to find her she barks a lot please give her to a farm. I vacuum 2x a day and the list went on But thing is I stuck it out I learned her ways read up on their behavior and with time she learned to trust us she will be 2 yrs old this March. She has been a good spoiled dog so far would I give her to a farm now NO she even sleeps with us in our cal king bed I am glad I stuck with it and believe she is a good girl after all. Thank you Marie

Adopted
by: Great Pyrenees Club

Hello,

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our adoption application. We will screen you, and then contact you when we get a suitable dog in. That could take anywhere from a few days to six months.

We keep a list of adopters for dogs coming in. They usually don't make it to the 'dogs for adoption' list. It's not first come first serve but rather the dog goes to the most suitable home depending on the dog's temperament etc.
