My puppy is 6 months old and has short hair similar to a lab. With his hair grow longer?

If you do a search for full Pyrs or registered Pyrs, you'll see what the coat length should be.

It sounds like you do not have a Pyr, at the very most, a mix. Perhaps you have an Akbash.

You should have seen the parents. They'll have both have had long coats.

Always get a dog from a reputable source such as from a breeder registered with a recognized kennel club if you want to ensure you have a Pyr.
