This is our first time with a dog with double dew claws. Ours has black pads, and they seem dry. I rubbed some coconut oil on them with a cotton ball and noticed that black "stuff" crumbles/flakes off. Is this normal since those toe pads don't get exfoliated by being walked on? Or does it sound concerning? Will be seeing a vet soon but just wondering as double dews are new to us. Never realized they had pads!

We have a male and female and they just had their first litter. Is it a good ideal to keep one of their pups? Or will they fight?
