Drink a lot
by: Donna

It depends. If it's very hot out, yes, they will drink more than usual to hydrate. How much does your pup drink? Keep track.

If you feel it is too much, take your dog to your vet. There could be any number of reasons for drinking too much. You are better safe than sorry to catch anything that may be going on sooner than later.

Also, talk to the breeder about this. They will have more insight and advice for you and be more than happy to help you out.

My Brutus is 11 yrs old. He drinks 2 gallons of water a day regardless of the weather. He is older but healthy and is an inside pet. We live in Texas so the summers are very hot here right now averaging 99-102 per day at this point. Brutus goes in and out as he pleases. He is not an active Pyr either. Just has always drank a lot of water.
