Flocon

DOB: Approx. Jan. 26, 2025 (don’t know for sure) rescued Jan. 2026

Location: Acton, Ontario

Maybe this is the boy with whom you an enjoy your life.

This handsome boy is a 1-year-old male Great Pyrenees He was rescued from a backyard breeder where he was neglected.

This big happy boy is good with dogs, cats and people. He loves attention and is very sweet and gentle. We are not sure how he is with children, but probably fine with well-behaved children. If you have another dog, it should be female so compatibility is more likely.

Required: Detached single dwelling home with a securely fenced yard of at least 5 feet with a real garden or real grass (under the snow). He may even do well on a hobby farm once allowed to adjust to his new life. He loves to be outside as is typical of this breed.

He doesn’t like to share his food with other dogs, of course, so feeding separately is always a good idea. He eats his raw quickly so it shouldn’t be an issue.

He needs a family who understands the need for a dog to decompress and not expose them to anything, but the backyard for business and the house until he settles in. He needs to learn about you and you about him. He should be allowed to get used to his environment in order to set him up for success.

He is getting better on leash, but he is still a little unsure. This is something you can help him with, as well as getting him used to life in general. The Trust Technique will do wonders if you choose that route.

He is adapting well to indoor life, but everything is new to him. He was terrified at the SPCA kennel as it is very noisy. As a result, he was stressed and didn't eat much.

Adoption donation: $400

We recommend the online teaching program Recallers or Home School the Dog and/or the Trust Technique to gain an incredible connection with your dog to set him up for success.
