Dear Pyr Rescue !

It is with profound sadness to say that Garrett has passed away. We met Garrett in 2010, he was an incredibly handsome and gentle soul. Carol had talked to us about him, and we made the trip up to meet him. The rest, as they say was history !
Garrett was the kindest gentle giant and loving soul. He accomplished so much in his forever home.... many new friends, countless time spent with his humans, movie nights and hang out time on the couch, treats ! Christmas presents, wrestling in the snow, lots of hugs and kisses, and countless walks. Regardless of what the record shows... he rescued us. He was a dear, dear boy who was loved sooo much.. and will be forever missed. He was our rock...

I don't know you nor did I know Garrett. I did not have to. I can see, and feel he was a GREAT friend Beautiful dog. Stay strong, and never forget the good times. Maybe one day we will see him again; we can hope anyway. My George too!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss of Garrett. These giant love bugs are such precious souls. I rescued my Great Pyr Bella and never knew gentleness ran as deep as she displayed. SHe recently passed at the age of 12 and my heart will never forget her. The ones we rescue show us love beyond measure.

Our deepest heart felt thoughts go out to you and to everyone who played a part in giving him a good life. He so reminds us of our loving Pyr we lost to doggie heaven -Badger colour and all. These pets give you something that is so hard for people not having had a gentle giant-to understand.Keep strong and maybe you will do the same as us -we plan to rescue a Pyr. We have lots of love and everything it takes to bring out the best in him and companionship for us .

You said it best when you said he rescued you. They take us to another level of loving. The loss is profound. My heart is with you today. The photos and your post are such a beautiful tribute.
