Heat tolerant?

How well do Great Pyrenees handle the heat? We live in Orlando, FL It's above 70 degress almost year-round and can be 95+ about 3 months of the year.

Make sure to keep his coat well-groomed so the air can flow through his skin.

Make sure he has shade and a big dirt area in the shade in which to dig to keep cool.

And, of course, make sure he always has fresh water.

You can still walk him to do his business but make it is a shorter walk.

Make sure to keep his coat well-groomed so the air can flow through his skin. NEVER shave a double-coated dog like the Pyr. They will become even hotter and their coats will not grow back to be as efficient as they are.

Make sure he has shade and a big dirt area in the shade in which to dig to keep cool.

And, of course, make sure he always has fresh water.

You can still walk him to do his business but make it is a shorter walk.

NEVER shave a double-coated dog like the Pyr. They will become even hotter (and embarrassed) and their coats will not grow back to be as efficient as they are.

Make sure he has shade and a big dirt area in the shade in which to dig to keep cool.
