So, you already have your dog.

Do you mean cost in as upkeep? You should have done your homework already.

If your dog has already had his shots, and he is fed a high-end dog food (raw preferably, or baked kibble), is groomed regularly to keep him mat-free, nails are trimmed regularly (every two weeks to a month) including the dew claws, keep his ears clean, remove ticks when you find them, he should stay healthy and not require a vet until maybe his senior years and barring any unforeseen accidents. Here is a resource for you: http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/

If you groom yourself, you will save money on a groomer.

Your only cost should be food for him plus toys, his beds, bowls, harness, treats etc. I would recommend raw. If you prefer not to, then a baked kibble. That cost will vary depending on where you get the food.

I hope this helps.
