How to get a shiny Pyr Coat?

by Michelle
(Nashville)

I use a variety of brushes on my rescue. His coat looks great in the winter but as the weather warms up it looks kind of dull. Probably from all the pit digging. Any suggestions on types of brushes? Furnimator?

I, personally, have not found the furminator to work on my Pyrs. I just use a slicker brush followed by combing. She gets brushed quickly daily with the slicker brush with a good almost hour of a brush once a week.

As for a shiny coat, you might get some tinges of shine in the sunshine.

I feed raw which has made her goat shine somewhat in the sun.
