Indoor Working Dog

My Pyrs are working livestock guardians. I was told to not allow them in the house if they are for protection of your livestock?

Is this true?

Working Dog Inside?
by: Donna

Yes, you can bring your working dog inside but not full-time. They have bonded with their livestock and if you brought them in all the time then they would be torn about how to guard both you and the livestock.

If it's bad weather and the sheep have to be locked up, bring them into your home for a visit. And, bring them in to groom them or anything else you need to do with them. It won't hurt. It'll give them a bit of a break, too.
