Introducing a new dog - male or female

by David
(Woodbury, TN)

I have a four year old Great Pyr female looking after my nine goats. I want to introduce a puppy Great Pyr into the mix to provide further protection against coyotes etc. Should I get a male puppy or a female puppy? Does it matter?

Male or Female

I have heard there is no difference. However, make sure to neuter/spay your dog so there will be no chance of roaming nor production of unwanted puppies.
