Is it cruel to let them luve un tropical weather.How would they do?

If you can provide them with air conditioning for inside, it will be okay.

A big securely fenced yard of at least 5 feet outside with much dirt to dig into stay cool along with shelter from the sun, they should be okay. Also, provide clean water daily.

Allow them access to indoors and outdoors as they please.

If this is a working dog, again, shelter from the elements is required.

Regular weekly grooming to allow the air to flow through their coat is always a must.

You might consider a dog with a lesser coat.

Giving Great Perenees hair cut due to Texas Summers

Vet is telling me to cut fur at least twice during the summer but, everything I read on line says don't. What do so do?!?!?!

Sadly, many vets don't understand breeds.

Never shave your double-coated dog. They have it for a reason. It keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter. Keep it well-groomed so the air can flow through and your dog will be very happy. Never allow it to mat.

Shaving their coats will actually make them hotter.
