Great Pyrs in New England's snow

I absolutely love both of our Great Pyrenees! They have completely opposite personalities, but get along pretty good. I try to walk them every day. I have a least 2-3 people stop to ask what kind of dogs they are. They are so beautiful and majestic. They love to be with family and yes, they do bark... a lot! It helps that we have a very large back yard for them and a lot of deer, so they actually have something to bark at. Great family dogs!

What a gorgeous pair!!!

Thanks for sharing your honest comments about how much they bark!

We love our Great Pyr but if we didn't have our acreage, we'd be in big doggy doo-doo! These dogs love to communicate... and yes, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes...even satellites up in the night sky can set him off.

Big dog. Big bark. Reality. If you're thinking of adding a new family member, realize how big that bark can be.

We love ours! He can bark all he wants. We don't have neighbors nearby...but our far-away ones hear him just the same!!!
