Tale of the tape
by: Ed A from NJ

So after finding a tape measure here is what I can tell you. My 11 year old girl is 46" from the tip of her nose to the start of her tail (meaning her tail is not in the measurement). FYI my male Big Beau is 9 inches longer (and 3 inches taller. But Beau is huge for a Pyrenees. Hope this helps.

Length of Pyr
by: Donna

Lengths can vary.

Standard sizing is height of the dog at the shoulder. It can be 25 to 29 inches for bitches. But, that can vary, too. I had a female of 30" at the shoulder.

pyrenees length
by: Anonymous

My pyr Skye is really long. She is 50 inches from tip of nose to stary if tail. Her tail ( just the boned part not the long fur) is another 16 inches...my pyr can stretch though and was just being normal. Her neck from base of skull to beginning of bqck is 10 inches...i was just looking for length not height..because when my pyr was a puppy id hold her is sitting position on my lap and burp her...now that she is grown if she did that (and she tries and suceeds in a modified way) she would tower above me from her long torso and i am tall....her legs are long too but her body length is reeeaaallly long :)
