Milos fur has changed his soft fluffy undercoat fell out in great clumps and sheets it is just gone. Is this usual ? . It is march here in northern Illinois USA his fur did this at the same time as the pussy willows appeared.

He grew 2 inches taller at the shoulders and 2 inches longer as well in the 8 months we have had him . When we got him in the month of May of 2016 he had that undercoat. It began falling in February of 2017 and now in march it is all gone. He is still sweet and nice looking . That's not the point it's not my vanity it's if this is usual.

He weighs 75 pounds which vet says is right for him . He is 2 years and two months old. He is pyr x St. Bernard x white lab. Neutered. Milo was a runt bottle fed. At the no kill shelter he was trust and obedience trained. We are his third family. We love him more than I know how to say.its as if he was always in our family.

it's normal

Shedding his coat is normal. It's totally amazing just how much comes off the dog! We live quite a bit north of where you are located and ours is doing the same. I do think that those dogs who live indoors shed earlier than those who spend most of the day outdoors.
Think about saving his fur as he sheds, if you can. Place it in a paper bag in a dry place. When he has stopped shedding, all of it can be spun into yarn and knitted into happy Milo tuques and mitts, that are soft as a bunny!
It seems that Milo was born to be your companion, and no one else would do. What a blessing!!
