When Milo walks he has a new walk thing. He has to carry a small stuffed toy in his mouth. If no stuffed toy he tries to take the leash in his mouth.

He plays with it as we walk along. Milo has no idea how cute this is. Pretty funny. If on a car ride he hides it under the seat and when we get out he takes it with us.

He only began this after our older dog, daughters retired service dog king, died. No idea if related or coincidence.
Milo is pyr x St. Bernard x white lab
Milo is my daughter bluebells service dog, having been role model trained by king.
Has anyone another dog carrying toy in mouth ion walk doing this , ? Is it a pyr thing?

Every Lab we ever had did this, too : )
Think of it as a good thing, as with our dogs carrying stuff was their 'happy place'. It may be that Milo is comforting himself, and is moving himself through his grief in his own way. Support him in whatever he chooses to do to move himself through this.
