My Great Pyrenees had her puppies are 5 days old, what makes her eat them?

Is the mom healthy? Did you have her to a vet prior to breeding to ensure she is healthy?

How old is she? A bitch should only be bred between 3 and 7 years old.

How many breedings has she had? If you are a reputable breeder, she will only have been bred 2, maybe 3 times in her life if she is healthy.

If she is not healthy and feels she can't care for them, perhaps that is why she eats them.

Perhaps the pups are not healthy and she eats them because she knows they are not going to make it.

Make sure you take her to the vet to have her checked over. Please spay her since it doesn't sound like she should be bred any longer for either her health reasons or her pups.
