Is it safe to neuter a 5-year old male? I see different answers everywhere. Thank you

Your vet would be the one to advise you best. And, yes, there are many differing opinions.

All my dogs have been neutered/spayed because I couldn't be 100% certain they wouldn't come in contact with an intact male/female. They didn't appear to have any health-related issues as a result. And, two intact males usually don't get along.

Here is something to ponder for you:

We had two rescues done. One was 3 one may have been 9 ish.Both are doing well. Ask your vet.Hopefully one with large breed experience. We dont have that here in va. Good luck
