Potty training

by Theresa Dawson
(Sparks Nev)

Our pyrenees Marlee is 15 weeks. She is so very smart except when it comes to potty training.

We take her to the same fenced in yard within her own backyard yet still no success. How long should she take? We can not keep her in a crate because she will cry for hours. Thanks love my pyrenees

Potty Training
by: Anonymous

My Pyrenees is taking forever to potty train as well. She is around 4 months right now and I have done all I did with my other dogs and she is just being stubborn. I have been taking her from the crate outside to go potty and back in, play with her and spoil her for 20 min. Put her back in the crate and give it a few hours take her out and do the same. She is now getting more time out of the crate and hasn't had any accidents for some time now.

Stubborn, but she will get it.

It took my Pyr Ares awhile to get it too.
Just remain consistent and eventually it'll happen. Walk her about every twenty to thirty minutes and make sure she knows not to potty inside.

Ares got it around 15 weeks.

I thought it was never going to happen and then one day I realized we hadn't had any accidents in a week!

It'll come with time.

It's a stubborn breed. They kind of do what they want.
