Weight of a Pyr/Hound Mix
by: Donna

It depends on the size of the parents, genetics, if he is getting a good diet and healthy, and if the parents were healthy.

It's really hard to say. If both dogs were 100 pounds, then it could be a good bet to say your dog would be 100 pounds.

You're vet might be able to tell you more.

More info could help
by: Ed A from NJ

There are many bound breeds and genetics are a little more complicated then many think. My baby Newfie was the ring of the littler and a girl when I got her. She is now 10 months old and 126 pound! If you have a good vet he can help also there is a mix breed weight calculator on the internet if you know exactly what two breeds it is the date it was born and the exact weight it is now. That is based on information complied by vets across the country. But remember genetics are crazy and don't aways follow basic logic. The best you will get is a educated guess.Good luck with your angel I'm sure you will love what you get anyway.

Pyr Hound mix
by: Anonymous

I have an 80 pounder. 37 % Pyr. Then a mix of bluetick coonhound, American foxhound and Black and Tan Coonhound with a smattering of Saint Bernard and Rottweiler. Was misidentified as an American English Coonhound. Looks very hound like, But clear that he wasn’t only hound because his ears aren’t long enough for a hound.
