Update February 2020
Remy has worked out just beautifully, most definitely an asset to the team here on the homestead. Given patience and room to explore, her instincts have all kicked in. I find her to be highly intelligent and communicative in her quiet way. She asks in and out as she pleases, occasionally does the independent thing choosing to remain vigilant at one of her many high ground vantage points over seeing her domain.
She has effectively dealt with foxes, coyotes, hawks, snapping turtles, and other, unseen to me, predators. This took a little time, as she was a 6-year-old very urban canine when she got here, but has successfully got that all sorted out of what and who should and shouldn't be here. She definitely knows our routine and appears to be quite content and relaxed in her role as guardian and companion.
Thank you for making it possible for Remy to have joined us here on the homestead. I have attached a few pics in the hope they are adequate to post as part of her story on your website. She never leaves the property, and roams her domain as she sees fit.
Return to Post A Happy Tail 2017.
