Running with puppy?

Other breads say to be especially careful during the puppy time to control excessive exercise....not to stress the joints. Is this true with the pyrenees?

Running with a dog
by: Donna

This is true with any dog. Do not run a pup.

That said, Pyrs are not big on running. They are absolutely bored with it. A Husky is more conducive to running.

Many breeds would be bored with running. Dogs are meant to be able to stop and sniff, meet people and other dogs, run if they want to but not because they are made to.

These are guardian livestock dogs who run at predators, bark to keep them away and hang out with the livestock but at work all the time.
