Milo cuddling helps
by: Jeanette

Milo , I cuddled him a lot. And it worked . And spoke to him I slept on the floor in a sleeping bag for 8 weeks , he put his nose under my chin and under my arm while he slept he made happy grunting noises beforehe slept. As he slept he sighed.

In afternoon when he slept he often had his head on my feet. Which he still does, he loves a real real lot of cuddling . Sort of like a large cocker spaniel, lol. !

Every dog I've had (5 ). I'd cuddle sleeping bag for 8 weeks whether puppy or as Milo was young adult. It creates pack bonding and comfort, trust, IMHO .

He was 18 months old, now he will be 3 years in December 2017. We've had Milo a year, hard to believe it , he is so special. ( Milo is pyr x St. Bernard x white lab )

Milo is now my daughters service dog , having been taught by my daughters elder service dog and by me. ( now dead , king , Aussie cattle dog x black lab ) Milo is a good partner to her ( daughters nickname is bluebell)

Milo alerts in advance of my daughter having a seizure. So she lies down and won't fall hitting her head. And he helps her after with comforting. If I'm on a different floor, say in the laundry room, he fetches me to her but only if she sez to him , Mama.

Once in a store we were in different aisles Milo fetched me to her because she said Mama. She'd had a seizure and after ward was weak and confused. Before that due to him she'd had independence to be in a different aisle due to Milo being with her.

Milo also goes to a nursing home where elderly pet him. The men call him. , bubba, sir and good soldier. The women call him baby and darling , he loves it. It is my hobby.

He helps her with anxiety . And Milo helps both of us with PTSD. We both got PTSD from the same life incident ,

we are his third family . The no kill shelter taught him trust class and obedience class # 1 - and # 2.

I took Milo to canine good citizen class and he got a certificate.

The no kill shelter got him from a killing shelter. So he peoably had a family then . After that counting us he has had 3 families.

Daughter also has developmentally disabled and several other health things. Milo helps her with developmentally disabled he sheep dogs her around at times when she is mixed up.
