Shedding and very thin

My GP is 10 months old she is very thin and shedding hair profusely. What causes this should I be concerned or is this normal?

Shedding and thin

Pups are usually slim and don't really start to fill out until they are two.

Double-coated dogs such as Pyrs do have two big molts (blowing their coats) a year where their hair comes out in large amounts to get rid of the undercoat to keep them cool in summer. This undercoat will come back in fall where upon they shed, again. They shed in smaller amounts all year. Never shave a double coated dog.

Keep your dog well-groomed to allow air to circulate through their coat and skin all year round.

If you feel your pup is too thin, I would suggest taking your dog to the vet for a checkup.
