Our pyrenees hasn't shed this, summer. It is 100 degrees. Why would this be?

Her coat may be just taking its time. She will eventually.

My dog never molts, strangely.

Same with Frank
by: Martha

Interesting....same with Frankie. She still has her lovely thick winter coat. Yet our cat is shedding and leaving little clouds of ginger fluff, which is unusual.

I think Frankie's coat is actually keeping her cool this summer. It has been crazy hot, yet she seems very comfortable - compared to the rest of us.

Anyway, I brush her every Sunday morning, and this morning just minimal shed- only a handful of fluff.

When the time comes, and the festival of fur begins,I'll have my old 1965 filter queen (best vaccuum ever!)all tuned up. That's how we get through "Shedfest". Frankie loves this and the old filter queen is the only vaccuum in the house she will tolerate near her.

The double coat definitely keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter.

Don't worry is she doesn't shed. Just keep her groomed so the air can circulate through her coat and skin. Never shave a double-coat.

Nature will do what and when it wants to do it.

Perhaps your dog will tolerate another model of vacuum besides the Filter Queen : )))
