Shedding

My mother's GP is 2 1/2years old has yet to shed her undercoat.She has owned GP's before so she knows they shed twice a year. Just wanted to know if this is common or could be caused by a health problem.

I also have a Pyr who doesn't molt or shed her undercoat. She is a rescue and perhaps isn't full Pyr and may play a part in not shedding her undercoat.

She is on a species-appropriate diet (raw) so it has nothing to do with her diet.

I don't worry about it and keep giving her a weekly thorough grooming.

If you're concerned, take her to the vet for a check over.
