Skin Sores

by Richard
(Sebastopol CA U.S.)

I have had Harley for around 3 years. He was a rescue dog and we are guessing that when I got him he was around 2. As Harley has gotten older he has developed skin sores on his tummy. I have tried Benadyrl, Clariton, anti biotics, Cortizone cream, Get One Gentamicin sulfate Betamethasone spray. Changed his diet from Chicken based to Beef to Salmon......Nothing seems to help his skin problems. Has anyone else had to deal with this with their Pyrenees????

Thanks for any help??

Skin Sores

This is not Pyr related. This is a common ailment in dogs who are overvacc'd, which can also be generational, and all those flea/heartworm meds plus eating kibble which is a big one. Kibble is very processed and full of carbs and other stuff that converts to sugar.

Your dog's immune system is being overworked right now and this is his system's way of trying to heal. It needs help. Everything you are doing are superficial remedies unfortunately. Have a look at this article.

You can start by feeding raw. And, here is a good information for you to consider.

Isabelle is also very successful in getting dogs' immune systems back into sync. Just email her at Holiraw Nutrition with your concerns.
