Thunderstorms

Hello, my Great Pryenees stays outside with our flocks 24/7. We have a local coyote problem and she keeps everyone safe. Since we got her in the autumn, the only thunderstorms she has experienced were small/short and she stayed pretty calm inside her dog house.

With summer here, big storms are sure to come more often. Iv brought her inside for a recent bigger one and she did great but my concern is what about those "pop up" big thunderstorms. For example if I'm at the grocery store and she's outside with the ducks and one hits? Is there anyway to prepare her for that possibility? She has access to a large double-walled dog house and is within 2 lines of fence that perimeter the property.

Does anyone have experience and/or advice with primarily outside working dogs and storms?

Any help is appreciated, thank you

Here is some information to help you.

Fireworks

It's great she goes into her house during the small ones. Lots of treats for going into her house when it happens. And, the above information will help you.
