Underweight / Thin Coat

by Sandra
(Parry Sound Canada)

Our 4 1/2 month old boy seems to be on the thin side. You can certainly feel his ribs and backbone.
We have had him on a large breed puppy food, feeding 3 times per day and he's eating 2 cups per feed.
He's very active, has great energy and very alert. He has been dewormed 3 times.
He weighed 56 lbs on May 13/ 2019 but we wondering if that's usual.
Also, he has lost a lot of his puppy fluff but his coat seem very thin. We brush/comb him about twice a week
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

You should be feeding him what his ideal adult weight will be. So, if he will be 100 pounds, feed him 2 pounds a day spread over a few meals a day.
