will it be a good move or bad?

We are moving to AZ, the place we are moving to gets dry heat of about 100 to 130 degrees. If I keep my pyrenees inside would she be okay in the summer months???

Comments for will it be a good move or bad?

She should be okay.

Do NOT shave her. She needs her double coat to insulate her from the heat.

She can be outside, if that is where she wants to be (and, as a Pyr, I suspect that will be the case).

Ensure she has the shade of trees, bushes and/or some kind of shelter from the sun. And, a yard/garden in which she can dig down to lie in the cool of the earth. And, plenty of fresh water.

Small walks are okay, too, especially in the shade of the woods.

Make sure that you brush out the old coat and yes never ever ver shave the dog. Shade a nice kiddie pool and a dirt pile they can dig into. Thats how thry stay cool.
