Thank you for sharing this story of Frankie protecting the family. Our family has had GP for many years now on our Oklahoma farm. They are truly amazing dogs.
I recently had a book published about these wonderful dogs and it includes a true story about our dogs encounters with the threats of a Mt. lion here in Oklahoma. The book also includes a story about our GP cross protecting me when threatened by an aggressive young man. The title of the book is Jumping Boundaries. I had to share our life experiences with these dogs.
Our dogs are guardians of a dairy goat herd but they are tightly bonded with our family as well.
GP are very smart and their abiltiy to make decisions can not be discounted. I loved reading this story of Frankie and loved the description of how she kept darting in and out at the bear to back it up.
