Charlie is above all else an extremely gentle dog! He is such a sweet, affectionate and loving soul who loves to hang out with his people. He just wants to please. He thinks he is a small puppy. He really does not know how big he is! In fact, he loves to play with cat toys. He can make a toy out of anything.
As a pup, he is full of energy. He's ready to train with you, hike and walk with you, and play in the yard.
You need to be ready to work with this boy, as with any pup, to set him up for success. He has settled in well at his foster’s and doing well with the routine. He does get very excited with happiness when people visit.
He did live with two other cats, and is presently with a foster who has other dogs. Proper introductions are always necessary with new pets.
As a pup he will chew things so you will need to work with him on crate-training so he learns to love it. A crate becomes a safe place for a dog. It is not meant as punishment.
A pre-requisite will be to sign up for Recallers, or a modified version Home School the Dog program to give you and Charlie the best chance at success. Proof of registration will be required.
If you are interested in Charlie, please complete an adoption application.
There is a $400 minimum adoption contribution. All proceeds go back to the dogs in our care.
