*ADOPTED*

Location: Dunnville, ON

DOB: Jan. 3, 2021 (3.5 years)

Spayed

Companion Dog, Pyr mix

Good with children.

Single family home.

Raw diet (species-appropriate) diet is recommended to boost her immune system.

Securely fenced yard of a minumum of 5 feet.

Maya went to her present owner when Maya's first owner had to go into care.

Maya is absolutely sweet and amazing with people of all ages she loves every single person she meets, but unfortunately not the same for other animals at her house of residence.

She is an independent girl, but I could never see her hurting a human and loves every second around people. I have known Maya for a couple years as she has come to the boarding kennel I work at which is how I acquired Maya.

She did well at the kennel with other dogs, but when she went to her new home, she was stressed around the resident dogs. She will need proper and slow introductions to a new dog in the household. Another resident dog, if there is one, is to be male if you are willing to work with her. If not, she is to be the only dog.

We see she really just wants to be with people and is beyond amazing with my children. She has always had such a sweet personality to her and gets so excited to see us and anyone who comes to our house. She has never growled at anyone that has come to our home, rather offers wiggles and kisses.

She did not do well with the livestock and reacted to them (out of fear).

We recommend the Trust Technique along with a Trust Technique Practitioner and the online teaching program Recallers to set you and Maya up for success.

If you are interested in meeting Maya, please complete the adoption application. The adoption will be directly with the owner.

Adoption contribution: $400
